Street Parties: The New Municipal Regulations
Among the most anticipated activities are the popular street parties, which will take place on March 9th and from March 15th to 18th, offering fun and music until late at night. To avoid crowds, it has been recommended to the fallas near the Lonja, the Central Market, and the Ruzafa neighborhood to hold their events during the "tardeo" hours.
Additionally, this year new municipal regulations have been implemented stipulating that street parties must suspend the sale of alcohol in public spaces starting from 2:00 in the morning.
The Popular Fallas Markets
For shopping enthusiasts, the popular markets are a must during the Fallas. From the Antique and Second-hand Book Fair on Gran VÃa Marqués del Turia to the Craft Show at the Mercat de Colón, there will be a wide variety of options to explore and enjoy.
Of course, gastronomy will also take a prominent place during the festivities. In many fallas, you can find food trucks and stalls with a wide selection of food and drinks, as well as traditional hot chocolate with fritters and churros to sweeten these festive days even more.
Other things to do
You can take advantage of your time in Valencia to visit the Albufera Natural Park, eat at a restaurant in El Palmar, El Saler, Pinedo, or the beaches of Malvarrosa, Cabanyal, and Las Arenas, not forgetting to visit the city's main monuments. Valencia reached its economic peak in the 15th century when it even surpassed Barcelona in population.
